  • Is it outside?
    It takes place indoors, so you don’t have to worry about the weather or ants in your pants.
  • What should I wear?
    Any fairly loose clothing is suitable. Come as you are, you don’t need any fancy footwear or lovely lycra.
  • Who is it for?
    Classes are suitable for men and women of all ages. We hope to develop a children’s programme in the future.
  • Do I need to be fit?
    You do not have to be fit or flexible to practice Urban Releaf. It is aimed primarily at relieving tension, making you happier and more relaxed.
  • Is it linked to any religions or philosophies?
    No. It’s founded on scientific research that shows that sounds, smells and images of nature can relieve tension and ease stress.
  • What are the benefits of doing this?
    Everyone is different, but you should feel some of the following benefits: Increased mental clarity Lowered blood pressure Better sleep Reduced anxiety and stress Lowered cortisol Lessened depression Soothed worries Increased sense of wellbeing Reduced back, shoulder and neck pain
  • What’s the difference between Urban Releaf and Yoga?
    Urban Releaf is primarily a multi-sensory nature based programme that incorporates the most effective and proven mindfulness and yoga style techniques. The simple moves are based on the characteristics of different animals. Some of the moves have been inspired by well-known yoga asanas, building on centuries of knowledge into postures that are effective in promoting relaxation.
